Development Squad
This is the recommended normal entry level for swimmers under 8 making the movement  from swimming lessons.
 Training duration is recommended at 1.5 to 2.0 hours per week.
 The development aim of this category is to support all swimmers wishing to progress by improving their swimming technique, and includes width, length swimmers, options of Wednesday and Sunday.

# LAND TRAINING # (for Junior, Intermediate and Senior swimmers are included in the membership fees
All Junior, Inter and Senior squad swimmers are expected to participate in the Land training program, which includes Strength, Agility, Quickness routines (SAQ’s) as well as team sport activities on Fridays.

INTERMEDIATE Squad
 This Squad is for competitive swimmers at ages 12 to 16 years, who are county, regional or national championship standard.

 Training duration is recommended at a maximum of 9.0 to 10.0 hours per week.
 Land training is recommended and consists of developing flexibility and core strength which will improve technique, reduce muscle fatigue and injury.
 The development aim of this category is to support all swimmers wishing to progress in competitive swimming. Members are frequently selected for inter-club competitions such as the National Arena League and Cornwall & West Devon Leagues, Fast Water Meets, the Cornwall Counties and local Open Meets. Your usual sessions are on Wednesdays, Friday and Sundays, invitation to attend additional morning and evening sessions will be via the Head Coach and based on ability.

 

JUNIOR Club Squad
 This Squad is the recommended entry level for new competitive swimmers at ages 8 to 12 years.
 Training duration is recommended at 3.5 hours per week.
 Land training is recommended and consists of developing flexibility and core strength which will improve technique, reduce muscle fatigue and injury.
 The development aim of this category is to support all swimmers wishing to progress to competitive swimming by improving their technique, options of Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Competitive swimming will be introduced through events for the junior and novice racers against swimmers from other clubs such as the Diddy Meets and club championships.

JUNIOR Performance Squad
 This Squad is for competitive swimmers at ages 9 to 12 years, who are county, regional or national championship standard.
Training duration is recommended at a maximum of 8.0 to 9.0 hours per week.- Land training is recommended and consists of developing flexibility and core strength which will improve technique, reduce muscle fatigue and injury.
 The development aim of this category is to support all swimmers wishing to progress in competitive swimming.

MASTER or FITNESS MEMBERSHIP (1 session per week)
This category includes swimmers who may not with to swim competitively, or have other conflicting weekly commitments. Usual training day is on a Friday.
