Short Course and Long Course Club Records.
Club Records can be set at any licensed open meet. There are short course and long course records depending on whether the swim was completed in a 25 or 50 meter pool.
Records are set for the age of the swimmer on the last day of the meet.
The swimmer has to be a member of Truro City Swimming Club and be competing for TCSC at the meet to be eligible to claim a record. There is currently a record for each individual age group accept 9 and under and 17 and over.
Club Championship Records.
Truro City Swimming Club currently holds two in house competitions each year: The Fast 5 Club Championships (usually in June-July), where swimmers compete in 50 metre sprints for all four strokes and the 100 Individual Medley.
The other event is the Club Championship Autumn Meet (early October) for 100, 200, 400 distance swims. (800 and 1500 meters subject to additional licensed event being available)
Once again these events are swam as age on the day, but records are grouped 9 and 10s, 11 and 12s, 13 and 14s, 15 and 16s, 17 and over.
NB. A swimmer can claim a Club Record and a Club Championship Record for a swim completed at the Club Championships.
