Carn Brea and Helston Gala 2019

Truro City swimmers shone at the hugely competitive and very busy Carn Brea and Helston Gala this weekend with lots of PBs and massive haul of medals. Congratulations to Anna Huddy, Toby Stoddard, Lilia Smith and Sam Poppy for smashing through gala records and setting the bar higher. A really fantastic start to the season for the club.

Medal highlights:
Day 1
Anna Huddy – gold 100 back setting a new record, silver 50 back and 200 free, bronze in 50 fly
Ella Huddy – gold 50 back.
Celeste Woodall – silver 100 back
Mia Penberthy silver 200 free
Lilia Smith gold 50 breast and 100 IM, silver 100 breast, silver in the 50m butterfl
Esmee Stockly bronze 100 breast.
Tomas Rich bronze 50 breast.
Toby Stoddard golds for 50 back, 100 back, 200 free, 100IM and set a new record in the 100 back.
Sam Poppy gold 100 back, silver 50 back and bronze 50 breast.

Day 2
Toby Stoddard bronze for 50 fly, 200 back, 200 IM, 50 free and 100 free: Toby has set a new record for 100 free.
Anna Huddy: silver 200 back and 50 free, bronze 50 fly
Rory Sim: silver 200 back, bronze 200 IM
Lilia Smith: gold 200 breast and 200IM + record
Esme Brokenshire: bronze 200 breast
Mia Penberthy: bronze 200 breast
Esme Stockley: – gold 50 fly
Sam Poppy silver 400 IM and 50 fly and gold + record 200 back.
