Truro City Swimming Club founded before 1928 and revitalised in 1973 remains the premier swimming club in Cornwall. Using a modern pool facility at Truro Leisure Centre, with 6 X 25m lanes and electronic timing it has been the most competitively successful club in Cornwall for the past 19 years.
In Emily Dart (Bio) the clubs Head Coach, the club is fortunate to have one of the very few Level 4 qualified coaches in the country. Supported by her superb team of coaches (team), the club continues to grow and go from strength to strength. It has a very successful racing squad placed in the top 16 of South West England and Wales clubs and follow a progressive training programme which continues to delivery success. The club has had representation at Junior, Senior and National Level and also enjoys close links with the local Surf Lifesaving Clubs, boasting some of the top regional and national surf life savers as members including past and present Great Britain squad members.
The Swim club has seen a number of great success, not only continually developing swimmers to compete at County and South West Regional level, but in most years sending 1 or more swimmers to compete in the National Championships in Sheffield.

The club accepts young swimmers at Stage 7 from the ASA National Plan for Teaching Swimming (NPTS) are coached to improve their stroke technique, swim speed and stamina thus increasing fitness. All of our current crop of National Level Swimmers have been developed through the clubs program having joined us at age 8 or 9.
We try to accommodate swimmers of all abilities and offer opportunities to those not seeking to compete, but wish to swim for fitness or the sheer enjoyment of swimming alone.
We also have a vibrant Masters Swimming section, which includes National and European champions and even European Record Holders.
